The Drachenfest offers a variety of options, as how to participate. Firstly one can simply join as a player. As a player you have to decide for a camp, in which you will live, fight and interact with others. You have the choice between the red, green, black, golden, silver, blue, grey, chaos or orc camp. There is also the possibility to join the Triumvirat or even the city as a player, however you will have to arrange this with the responsible persons.

Furthermore one can participate as a NPC, divided into city-, copper-, and monster-NPCs:

If you want to enrich the ambience and life of the city as an NPC, be it as guard, inhabitant or even beggar ,you best ask the city coordination at stadt@drachenfest.info . While city-NPCs are still bound to their role and get certain directives, this doesn't mean that you can't fill your character with a lot of life by yourself.

As a copper-NPC you are part of a camp which is, so to say, directed by the game organization. There are fixed roles but you can also create a character yourself and play as him/her.

As a monster-NPC you have the biggest diversity and variety of roles. Monster-NPCs (also called “Springer” = Jumper) are an essential part of all plots. Without these people there wouldn't be vicious bands of outlaws in the woods, no lamenting ghosts, and no wandering artefacts. It has to be said that those roles often have a lot of work to do and are on their way much of the time.
