At the Dragonfest you can participate - according to your personal taste - in many different ways. Either as a player in one of the many camps, as one of the various NPCs or as a game master. As a player you can find your home in one of the many camps. Independent of your religion you follow the philosophy of a certain way. The way itself is not a religion but more a kind of direction of belief of your character. For example a character believing in Ares, the Greek god of war, would feel comfortable on the red way, whereas someone believing in Mother Nature might find himself on the green way. The dragon is the symbol of dinvine power. If a dragon wins the final battle, his way is victorious and so are all Gods whose main philosophy are part of that way. Your character's play actions are completely free and you can - by your actions - directly affect and design the world around you. You can decide with play offers you accept with being forced to do so. It is completely your choice whether you become a part of all the smaller stories - with which we create a real and detailed world - or of the camp play, the diplomacy or the big strategy game or whether you only enjoy the various attraction in town.
So-called jumper NPCs have to defined role at the Dragonfest. Jumper NPC is presumably the most active and diversified way to join the Dragonfest. Jumper NPCs take roles to either realise spontaneous ideas of players or to take over short-time plot parts. For the spare-time in between, we have Rob, our experienced and a little crazy Dutchman who has gave a lot of pleasure to our jumper NPSc during the last years with very spontaneous activities they devised together. The limbus is one of the central elements of the Dragonfest. It only exists at the Dragonfest and up to now it is unique. All souls of characters which died during the Dragonfest (except those having died inside the ritual circle or who decided for themselves to have died permanently) arrive at the limbus. If a soul crosses the limbus successfully it comes back to life. The limbus itself is not some kind of "Dungeon" through which the soul has to fight its way but it is a place where the soul strays about and has to find its way out by roleplaying. The limbus excels by a very high density of roleplaying and a very special "population" who create a very unique experience - at least for most characters. You have a concept, an idea which creates fun and joy for others? Then you are perfectly suited as a town player. You can play your character as a guest role in Adradach town and your concept can become part of the town itself. For becoming a town player you have to explain your concept to us - pictures of you and your camp would be best. If your concept is suitable and fits into the town (an important condition is a 100% ambience camp without outtime elements) then you'll get an OK from the town management. If your concept does not fit into the town itself, you may consider being part of the outskirts of Aldradach. Those outskirts players are limited to a hundred places. The guilds are a very special part of the Dragonfest. Here the whole knowledge of the Dragonfest is gathered. New things are explored, old things re-discovered and special knowledge handed to others. Being a guild NPC is one of the most extensive roles at the Dragonfest. The guilds are heavily sought by many researchers and a very intensive roleplay full of new contacts to very different characters comes to life.Apply to stadt@drachenfest.info . The Camp of the Copper Dragon is an NPC camp. Its background and structure are tightly set in the Dragonfest background. The copper camp is no "bad" camp but part of the circle of dragons. As every dragon the copper dragon follows its own way without trying to destroy the cycle. The copper camp is an NPC camp with follows the aspect of "domination" and which is a means for us to create a very high plot and tension intensity at the Dragonfest. Note: With the copper camp we want to create good and nice roleplaying. It is our aim to show the religios orientation and the commitment of the copper characters to everyone. There are several conditions for this to work, so that experienced players as well as newbies are involved: a - Buying a ticket for the copper camp needs an additional affirmation. After your registration you will be sent a questionnaire which has to be sent back to us with your answers. According to your experience you will get a special care before the Dragonfest to give you some help and information in the fields of "playacting", "fighting" and "being in character". With your affirmation you will get access to the "special" copper website whose password will be sent to you. b - The copper camp is an army. For this to work you have to arrive at the Dragonfest site on Tuesday. We will have weapon trainings with you and some work shops concerning "playacting", "fighting" and "being in character". Being a gamemaster at the Dragonfest is something very special and includes many challenges as well as very many wonderful moments. Everyone who is not deterred by blood, sweat and tears, but feels challenged we heartily invite to our gameleader team. We try to involve our gamemasters in the plannings. We want to be one team! Plot stories can and should be designed and created together with you. All things concerning the Dragonfest will be talked over at our various gamemaster meetings, too. It is very important to us that you are part of the development of the Dragonfest and we will work tightly with you. We have our own gamemaster boards where we discuss experiences and ideas with you. For smaller discussion we use our own teamspeak server. Naturally, all your meals will be taken care of! After the 2008's success, our catering team, led by our dear Jo, will be catering for you again. Gamemaster tents and equipment will be part of our service. If you have no camp bed, just tell us so that we bring one for you. The players and the Dragonfest need you!
